Finances have an effect on future education too. Research shows that students who live on a low income more more likely to fail a grade or drop out of school early. That is not hard to imagine, because of the difficulties we have just talked about.

  • Living on a low income means there is less money for education after high school, like college or university
  • This could mean you are not able to get the education you need for the job that you want
  • It is not easy to get a good paying job with little education
    • We will talk about jobs and employment in the next blog

People with more education tend to lead a healthy lifestyle and be more involved in the community. Why might that be?
